How to Sign Up

We want to encourage families to register online. Brochures are available only online at
Wethersfield Parks & Recreation

Families will need to create a household account with Parks and Recreation. If you don’t have an account, select ‘Register Online’ and follow the prompts to create one.

Some important reminders: 

Registration for after-school programs is now open through Parks and Recreation. Online registration is preferred to better ensure your student gets into the class of his/her choice.

It is essential that you sign your child up for after-school programs as soon as possible. Schools receive a detailed attendance roster at least one day before a program’s start. Inclusion on this list is an important part of ensuring your child’s safety and being where you expect them to be at the end of the day – especially for the youngest students.

If you register on the day the program begins, please visit the Parks & Recreation Department’s main office at Town Hall to complete your registration. There is a chance that if you register at the office, your registration may not be entered on the same day and, therefore, will not be on the roster. If you register on the day the program starts, we kindly request that you notify the school that your child has been registered so school personnel are aware that they will be staying.

We want to encourage you to have a conversation with your child every morning before they stay after school. Discuss where they will be going and who will be picking them up. When your child has a clear picture of what they will be doing after school, the time between regular and after-school days runs much smoother.

Parents MUST sign out their child. Please do not leave without signing out. Once the students have packed their belongings, the Site Coordinator will walk them down to the designated location to be signed out.

If a student is a walker, they will sign out with the Site Coordinator and head home.
